RETURN TO RIVER COTTAGE

We’ve just taken a small group down to River Cottage in Devon to visit another one of our trainees who has been working there for six months now.
It was a brilliant! After a night under canvas in the pouring rain, the sun came out when everyone went sea fishing. The trainees were then taught to fillet and cook the fish in the River Cottage kitchen – a very different experience!

CAMPFIRE'S BURNING
Switchback Trainees saw a different side of London this month when they went to cook lunch on a campfire in Epping Forest. Braving thunderstorms and damp sausages, HD and OT did a great job. They built the campfire, prepared vegetable kebabs, corn-on-the-cob and BBQ meat and finished off with roast chocolate bananas. They returned after their day in the urban wilderness soaked through but re-engerised.
