SUSSEX DAY TRIP

19 March 2010

As part of widening trainee's experience base and trying new things, we took trainees on a road trip to Sussex.

We tried ostrich steak at the lovely Duke's Head in Crawley then rustled up a picnic at the top of a hill. James at Higgidy Pies then gave us a tour around his pie factory in Shoreham-by-Sea which we followed with a walk along the beach and freshly caught fish and chip supper.

What a day!

CAMPFIRE'S BURNING

Switchback Trainees saw a different side of London this month when they went to cook lunch on a campfire in Epping Forest. Braving thunderstorms and damp sausages, HD and OT did a great job. They built the campfire, prepared vegetable kebabs, corn-on-the-cob and BBQ meat and finished off with roast chocolate bananas. They returned after their day in the urban wilderness soaked through but re-engerised.
